Ozark Christmas Band

Jimmy Allison

Jimmie Allison, the lead singer and lead guitarist, has played music around the Rolla area for many years.  You will probably know him from the national bluegrass band, Midnight Flight.  When you hear him, you will instantly become a fan.  Jimmy is the Music Composer and directs the vocal harmonies for the band.  Jimmy recently produced a CD project he had been wanting to do for years called Memories and Mentors featuring many local musicians.

Beverly Spencer

Beverly Spencer is the co-founder of Ozark Christmas along with Deborah.  She plays the upright bass and is the music director for the program.  Bev was the key to finding the songs as she searched tirelessly for the right blend.  She has been nominated 4 times as “Bass Player of the Year” for SPEGMA.  She is also the founder of Beverly’s Hillbillies and has recently finished a CD project called Poppin’ Along with the Beverly’s Hillbillies Band.

Allen Ousley

Allen Ousley is a Rolla native and enjoys driving and restoring old cars.  He is well known around the state in the bluegrass circle for his fast, innovative licks on the F-style mandolin.  He played for several years in the Meramec Jets, a St. Louis Band playing many festivals and venues.  He is a member of the Beverly’s Hillbillies and, in fact, he is Beverly’s cousin.

Roger Mathews

Roger Matthews has been playing banjo for over 30 years and has taken numerous awards including the National Banjo Contest at Winfield, KS and California State Banjo Championship.  Roger and Jimmy Allison are founders of the Midnight Flight Band along with the late Ernie Bishop.  Roger sings lead, bass, and baritone.

Joey Winneman

Special guest and friend, Joey Winneman will be bringing his seasoned talents to add to the Ozark Christmas Band this year. Joey is well-known in the state of Missouri as one of the finest fiddlers, mandolin and guitar pickers around.  He has played with such bluegrass greats as Rhonda Vincent and The Rage, Frank Ray and Cedar Hill and now with, "The First Lady of Missouri Bluegrass", Mona Jones and The Bluegrass Travelers. The Ozark Christmas Band is excited to be playing with their long time friend and happy to have him onboard this year.

Questions or comments to the band can email Deborah for information...I'll pass on any messages to other band members!  Say "howdy" to anyone of us, we love our friends and fans, but we like to meet new folks too.        :o)
